How The Prebuzz decides what to publish, and how we separate confirmed information from everything else.

How we label information
Every item we publish carries one of these statuses.
OFFICIAL
Information confirmed by the relevant company or official source.
REPORTED
Information reported by a credible publication or source but not directly confirmed.
RUMOURED
Information circulating through multiple reports or industry sources but not confirmed.
LEAKED
Information presented as originating from an unreleased or confidential source or material.
SPECULATED
Analysis, prediction or interpretation that has not been independently confirmed.
UNVERIFIED
Information for which the available evidence is insufficient.
Source attribution
The Prebuzz links to or identifies sources wherever appropriate, so readers can judge the original reporting for themselves.
Editorial review
Research may be assisted by technology and AI, but AI output is not automatically published. Editors review information before publication.
Confirmed vs speculation
Confirmed announcements are visually and editorially separated from rumours, leaks and predictions. We do not present speculation in a way that could be mistaken for an official announcement.
Updates
Stories and product pages may be updated when new information becomes available. Where something changes materially, we say so. Our Corrections & Updates page explains how to flag something to us.
